Is Truth Relative?
An answer that is completely counterintuitive to conventional thinking.
This is one of the most perplexing questions we can ever contemplate for couple of reasons. Firstly the concept of truth is fundamental to philosophy, epistemology, and various fields of study. No philosopher has ever defined truth and most probably never will we achieve this goal. There are different interpretations and philosophical theories about truth but not the definition. However, we shall work with this basic definition for the purpose of this article:
The state or quality of being in accordance with fact or reality. Truth is what corresponds to or accurately represents the way things are in the world.
Secondly, we have to differentiate between scientific truth and spiritual truth. Scientific truth is easier to prove using scientific methods producing empirical evidence that isobservable. Contrasting this with spiritual truth, which is more abstract and without empirical evidence is much harder. Moreover, to check the correspondence of spiritual truth is a challenging endeavour as it involves the psyche of a person which is not transparent to another person. Epistemically, the effort needed to acquire both knowledge of truth is just as demanding except the manifestation of free will becomes more prominent in the case of spiritual truth.
